Starfleet Academy unveils its trailer at San Diego Comic-Con, revealing Holly Hunter's Captain, Paul Giamatti's villain, and the Cadets.

The upcoming series Star Trek: Starfleet Academy got a teaser trailer today at San Diego Comic-Con 2025 that not only offers our first real look at what to expect from the show, but also some references to the Trek of yesteryear — including a major Deep Space Nine reference.

Starfleet Academy was released at the San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday, July 26, 2025. Fans were also introduced the the new cast, leading the original series. The show is the 12th series in the Star Trek franchise and will follow the events of Star Trek: Discovery,
