The Associated Press is still referring to the Gulf of Mexico by that name — despite President Trump’s decree that it now be called the Gulf of America — and now the White House said it will indefinitely bar the news organization from access to the Oval Office and Air Force One.

The Associated Press is sticking to its style guidance regarding the name of the body of water between Mexico and the United States -- and the Trump administration is continuing to ban AP reporters from their traditional place in the White House Press Corps as a result.

President Donald Trump says his administration will continue to restrict The Associated Press' access to cover presidential events until the news agency goes along with his renaming of the Gulf of Mexico.
