Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels showed leadership by making sure rookie Jacory Croskey-Merritt kept the ball from his first NFL touchdown.

Previous reports indicated that the unsettled WR was looking to land "parts" of the five-year, $150M contract that the Pittsburgh Steelers gave DK Metcalf earlier this year.

Daniels danced out of the pocket and scrambled for a 14-yard touchdown to cap his preseason performance against the Bengals after just four plays.

Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn met with the media for the first time since it was revealed the team had made running back Brian Robinson Jr. available via trade. Quinn didn't get into the details of Robinson's situation, other than to say, "News like that’s always not easy."
