Ken Martin Elected DNC Chair As Democrats Navigate Post-Election Challenges
WASHINGTON, DC – Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party Chair Ken Martin has been elected as the new leader of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), securing 246.5 out of 428 votes. He defeated Wisconsin Democratic Party Chair Ben Wikler, who garnered 134.5 votes, and former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley, who received 44 votes.
