Kershaw gets the White Sox’s Vinny Capra looking to end the sixth inning, becoming the 20th pitcher in MLB history to reach the vaunted mark and just the fourth left-hander in the club.

On Wednesday night, Los Angeles Dodgers icon Clayton Kershaw became the 20th pitcher in baseball history to record 3,000 career strikeouts, and only the fourth left-hander. He fanned Vinny Capra of the Chicago White Sox for the milestone strikeout.

Kershaw notched strikeout No. 3000 with a sixth inning punchout of White Sox third baseman Vinny Capra. The Dodgers later won the game on a walk-off single by first baseman Freddie Freeman.
