The MLB Speedway Classic was first announced nearly a year ago as part of Commissioner Rob Manfred’s push to take MLB to places where baseball isn’t played every day live. MLB played a game at the movie site in Iowa in both 2021 and 2022. Alabama, North Carolina and Pennsylvania, too.

The MLB Speedway Classic will be played in Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tenn. Known as "The Last Great Colosseum," the venue first opened in 1961 and has been holding NASCAR races for decades.

Major League Baseball's Speedway Classic in Bristol, Tennessee, is expected to break an attendance record on Saturday, and while heat won't be a factor, there is a risk of showers leading up to the first pitch.
