NYC subway service was disrupted Thursday in Manhattan after a power outage near the West Fourth Street-Washington Square station, the MTA says.

A 2-year-old boy who choked on a meatball while he was at daycare at the YWCA New Britain on Tuesday has died and the state Department of Children and Families is investigating, according to the little boy’s mother and a statement from DCF.

A power outage to signal equipment at the West 4th Street station in Manhattan snarled subway service Thursday — for the second time this week.
