ESPN's Lisa Salters reported on Sunday's broadcast that Embiid believes he needs another knee surgery and a lengthy recovery period for his current knee injury to fully heal. The MVP big man hurt his meniscus around this time last year and was clearly still battling it when he suited up for the playoffs in April.

Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid has had to battle through a lot of adversity in the 2024-25 season as he has dealt with a meniscus injury in his left knee that he is still recovering from. He has played in only 16 games out of 52 on the season and it has impacted himself and the Sixers as a whole.
