At least two people were killed Friday after a small plane crashed onto a busy road and collided with a bus in São Paulo, southern Brazil, leaving charred aircraft parts strewn along the highway.

It happened in the neighborhood Barra Funda of Sao Paulo, which is the country's largest city. It apparently hit a bus and several cars on the ground, along a busy avenue. Local media report at least two people were killed and several others hurt.

Brazil has had a number of deadly aircraft crashes in recent years, including one last August in Vinhedo, near Sao Paulo, that was particularly shocking. That passenger plane fell in a flat spin before crashing into the back yard of a home in a gated community, killing all those on board.
