After enjoying one of the lengthiest periods of coaching stability under Bill Belichick, the Patriots are going the one-and-done rout with Jerod Mayo.

The New England Patriots are retaining special teams coordinator Jeremy Springer, according to a report from NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport on Monday. Springer had the second overall special teams unit in the NFL, per statistics from Pro Football Focus. So it would make sense that coach Mike Vrabel would like to retain that success on the team.

The New England Patriots have officially hired Mike Vrabel as their head coach, Josh McDaniels as their offensive coordinator, Terrell Williams as their defensive coordinator and have kept Jeremy Springer as their special teams coordinator.
