A weekend storm is expected to leave snow across most of Massachusetts before transitioning into a wintry mix, freezing rain and rain between Saturday and Sunday.

"How much snow is actually on the ground by the time the event ends is still kind of a big question mark, since there could be some melting as we change over from snow to rain on Saturday night to Sunday morning," said Robert Megnia, a NWS meteorologist.
