GRAND RAPIDS, MI – The arrest in Ohio of a Meijer worker with autism has generated controversy for the Michigan retail giant, with police body-cam footage circulating on social media.

The lawsuit, filed March 18 in Kalamazoo County court on behalf of resident Rashawanda Dick, claims a white Meijer employee accused Dick of stealing and misusing gift cards at the self-checkout.
