A major technology firm is bringing an innovation hub to the blighted Bywater Navy base. Gov. Jeff Landry made the announcement in Baton Rouge with New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell on Monday.

Newlab New Orleans will be a purpose-built, newly constructed hub at the former Bywater U.S. Naval Station, located at the intersection of the Intercoastal Industrial Canal and the Mississippi River.
