The offseason saga of Terry McLaurin has taken a new turn: The disgruntled receiver has requested a trade.

Did the Washington Commanders just call Terry McLaurin's bluff? Did 'Scary Terry' just fold? The week-long lone absence was all about a player who is their best offensive weapon in the arsenal of quarterback Jayden Daniels.

McLaurin, 29, is in the final year of a three-year, $68.3 million deal that places him 17th among wide receivers in terms of average annual value. He had held out the first four days of camp, shortly after he expressed frustration with the lack of progress on a new deal.
