Arsenal have won their appeal against the red card issued to Myles Lewis-Skelly during their 1-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday. The Athletic reported earlier on Tuesday that Arsenal would appeal the decision and the FA announced later in the day that an independent regulatory commission had upheld the challenge.

Arsenal used a clip of Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes’ overturned red card against Tottenham earlier this season as part of their appeal for Myles Lewis-Skelly’s dismissal at Wolves last weekend.

Myles Lewis-Skelly was sent off against Wolverhampton Wanderers in what was deemed by many as one of the most controversial red cards ever.
