Hawaii’s Visitors and Convention Bureau says dangerous conditions may continue, even though the tsunami advisory has been dropped.

A major earthquake off the coast of Russia set off widespread tsunami alerts and evacuations all across the Pacific. It was the strongest quake on the planet since 2011, and the sixth largest ever recorded.
