A 17-year-old has been arrested in the killing of Sunshine Stewart, whose body was discovered hours after she went paddleboarding on a wooded pond near coastal Maine.

Maine State Police made an arrest in the death of Sunshine Stewart, who went missing July 2 and died of strangulation and blunt force trauma.

Authorities did not say if there was any previous connection between the 17-year-old and Sunshine Stewart, whose body was recovered from a pond in Union, Maine.
