PlayStation Network was hit with an outage and remained offline for many users through most of Saturday leaving them frustrated.

Sony’s PlayStation Network, which connects gamers online on its systems, experienced a massive outage that lasted about 24 hours.

Companies in the subscription business collect and store tons of customers data to personalize experiences, which makes them prime target for cyberattacks.

Sony blamed an operational issue for the 20-hour service outage, which affected console gamers on the PlayStation Network over the weekend.

Feb. 8 (UPI) -- The PlayStation Network was restored Saturday, more than 24 hours after a worldwide outage. PlayStation, which is owned by Sony Interactive, gave limited information about the disruption.

Sony’s PlayStation Network is up and running Sunday after a massive outage frustrated many users unable to play online games or access its online store. TikTok made Android Package Kits available for download through its official web site.

Users on social media had complained that they could not access their games after the unexplained outage began on Friday night.
