Six counties in New Jersey have been placed under a severe thunderstorm watch Tuesday because of the threat of strong storms that could produce large hail, heavy downpours and damaging wind gusts of 60 mph or stronger.

An updated severe thunderstorm watch was released by the NWS Fort Worth TX on Tuesday at 12:08 p.m. in effect until 4 p.m. The watch is for Collin, Dallas, Anderson, Ellis, Freestone, Henderson, Hopkins,

Storms are on the way to North Texas, prompting a flood watch for most of the region from 7 a.m. Tuesday until 1 a.m. Wednesday. A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for parts of Denton and Tarrant counties until 9:30 a.
