“Looks like we’re out of the clear with those two active guys,” Roberts said. Edman is hitting .242 with nine home runs, 29 runs batted in and an OPS of .748 this season.
Edman spent five seasons with the Cardinals before he was traded to the Dodgers at midseason last year. This is his first time back in St. Louis since the trade.
