Chris Columbus has more to say about HBO’s Harry Potter remake. The director — who helmed the first two Warner Bros. films that launched the hit cinematic franchise — recently made headlines for saying he wanted nothing to do with HBO’s multi-season remake of J.K. Rowling’s novels.

Chris Columbus isn’t going back to Hogwarts. The filmmaker, who directed the first two “Harry Potter” movies and produced the third, shut down the possibility that he’s going to be involved in HBO’s upcoming TV adaptation of the franchise.
