Cades Cove Loop Road and Laurel Creek reopened Friday morning. The Great Smoky Mountains did receive several inches of snow, though it didn't stick in the lower elevations.

Cades Cove Loop will close from the morning of Jan. 20 through noon on Jan. 24 and will reopen over the weekend, weather permitting, the park said.

GATLINBURG, Tenn. (WVLT) - Thursday afternoon, officials with the Great Smoky Mountains National Park announced that Cades Cove Loop Road and Greenbrier Road had closed due to high waters.
