The Raider Ramble‘s own Mario Tovar was ahead of the curve when he suggested it may be time for Kansas City Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo to get another shot at being a head coach in the National Football League.
According to two separate reports this week, the Chiefs have received requests from the New York Jets and Las Vegas Raiders to interview Spagnuolo for their head coach vacancies, which could leave Kansas City in need of a new defensive mastermind.
Spagnuolo, the Chiefs’ defensive boss since 2019, has won three Super Bowl rings in Kansas City and a fourth as the New York Giants’ coordinator in 2007. He’s the only coordinator in NFL history to win Super Bowls with two different teams, and the only coordinator — defense or offense — with four rings.
