President Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu are set to meet Tuesday as the Israeli prime minister faces competing pressure from his right-wing coalition to end a temporary truce against Hamas militants in Gaza and from war-weary Israelis who want the remaining hostages home and the 15-month conflict to end.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, whose military had engaged in fierce fighting with Hamas militants in Gaza for over a year, on Tuesday laid out his three main goals for the besieged Palestinian enclave.

The meeting is expected to focus on negotiating the second phase of the three-phase ceasefire deal with Hamas, they will also discuss Iran’s nuclear efforts, arms shipments and a potential deal to normalize relations with Saudi Arabia.
