Rowdy Tellez, 30, has been with Triple-A Round Rock after starting the season with the Mariners. He adds a left-handed bat to the Texas Rangers lineup.

The Texas Rangers made the expected move on Saturday, activating outfielder Wyatt Langford from the 10-day injured list.

The Rangers called up infielder/outfielder Michael Helman to take his spot on the 26-man roster. Langford spoke to reporters last week before he was moved to the IL.

There is no better way to tell the organization that you’re ready to return to the Majors than to hit a home run in the first game back from an injury.

At that point, I would expect that Justin Foscue would be sent down to make room for Langford, although Michael Helman is still up and could be sent out instead.
