A power pole fell onto an elderly couple’s home in Arabi as heavy winds knocked out electricity for hundreds in St. Bernard Parish.

A power outage across parts of Monterey County was caused by a car that crashed into a power pole on Wednesday afternoon. As of Thursday morning, only 539 customers are without power.
