It's not every day Chicago-style pizza ends up in Vatican City—hand-delivered to the pope himself. But that's exactly what happened when two people brought Aurelio's Pizza to St. Peter's Square, catching the attention (and thumbs-up) of Pope Leo XIV.
Pope Leo XIV gets surprise Aurelio's pizza delivery while riding through Saint Peter's Square
VATICAN CITY -- Pope Leo XIV received a surprise on a ride through Saint Peter's Square in his Pope Mobile Wednesday. The pope was given a box of pizza, straight from his hometown of the Chicago area. Pope Leo has said that it's his favorite spot, and was photographed at the pizza shop less than a year ago, when he was a cardinal.
