Jeff Bittiger, a pitcher who played four seasons in the major leagues and spent the last 22 years as a scout in the Athletics organization, died Saturday morning, the A's announced. He was 63. The team did not disclose a cause of death.
The A’s continue their second half with another contest against the Guardians, looking for their first post-break victory against a team teetering on the buy-or-sell fence with just a couple weeks to go.
The championships were last held in London in 2017 — five years after the Olympics and Paralympics came to the capital.
