ORLANDO, Fla. — A Central Florida teacher was recognized as one of the best in the state this week. Brandy Nicole Anderson, a seventh-grade civics teacher at Indian Trails Middle School in Palm Coast, Flagler County, was named one of five finalists for Florida’s 2025 Teacher of the Year.

Brad Schneider of Brandon, who played at UCF and had 22 starts on PGA Tour Latinoamerica, posted a 65 on July 19 at the TwinEagles Club Talon Course in Naples and took a one-shot lead at 13-under par 131.
