The Milwaukee Bucks' decision to cut Damian Lillard and sign Myles Turner is the biggest surprise thus far in NBA free agency, a stunning roster move with widespread ramifications for a franchise trying to keep Giannis Antetokounmpo in town long term.

“Aaron Goodwin, Damian Lillard’s agent, reached out to the Bucks about a month ago and informed them that Dame would like to rehab back home in Portland and stay with his kids… and I was told that some people within the Bucks did not approve of that,” he said.

While he's recovering from a torn Achilles, a report came out that Lillard might be able to return at some point during the 2025-26 season. If that is the case, he would be joining forces with LeBron James and Luka Doncic to compete for a championship.
