Thousands of people protesting mass deportations planned by President Donald Trump marched in Southern California, including in downtown Los Angeles where demonstrators blocked a major freeway.

President Trump’s order to release billions of gallons of water in California’s Central Valley last week — with the purported goal of dousing fires 100 miles away — is being slammed as both ineffective and wasteful by experts and California lawmakers.

President Donald Trump signed an executive order that will prohibit transgender women from competing in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles, but it makes no mention of transgender men. Newsweek reached out to the White House for comment via email.

The order, called “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports,” is based on the Trump administration’s interpretation of Title IX.
