Commission members felt a heightened urgency to release thorough recommendations after 10 people died in an assisted living fire last week.

The Bristol County DA reported the update Friday saying, "it was due to a miscommunication with a medical agency."

Resident Steven Oldrid alleged that he was “trapped in his room, suffered smoke inhalation, respiratory distress, and loss of consciousness” during the July 13 blaze.
