Two students were involved in a stabbing at Maryvale High School, resulting in one death and another in custody.
The UA Police Department responded to the school after receiving a call about the stabbing at the Main Library around 2 p.m. Aug. 19. The girl was found with several stab wounds, according to a news release. A boy, 17, who fled the scene was detained after a pursuit and booked into Pima County Juvenile Detention Center, the release said.
