UNION (WGME) -- A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the death of a Maine paddleboarder. Police found the body of 48-year-old Sunshine “Sunny” Stewart of Tenants Harbor on an island in Crawford Pond in Union earlier this month, prompting a lot of fear and speculation.
Detectives continue to follow up on all leads, and tips are still coming in,” Maine State Police said nearly two weeks after Sunshine Stewart's death.
Police have not released many details regarding the case and have asked residents to "remain vigilant" and report suspicious activity.
Sunshine "Sunny" Stewart, 48, of Tenants Harbor, was found dead on Crawford Pond after she had gone out paddleboarding last Wednesday night.
