Police and fire personnel continue to investigate the cause of the deadly blaze that took the lives of three children Sunday night.

A search warrant is being executed at a West Bloomfield home where fire broke out Sunday night, leading to the deaths of three children, Police Chief Dale Young announced Tuesday morning.

WEST BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI – No smoke alarms were found in the house fire that left three children dead in West Bloomfield Township, according to the Associated Press. A 12-year-old boy, 15-year-old boy and 16-year-old girl each died after the Feb. 2 fire.

The West Bloomfield fire marshal said the home had no working smoke detectors during the Sunday blaze. One victim was a West Bloomfield High School student.
