Florida couple Beatriz Rapoport de Campos Maia and Rafael Seirafe-Novaes, who were arrested at Miami International Airport after allegedly attempting to force their way onto a flight, are speaking out in defense.
The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office said one of them threw their coffee on someone working at the airport during the altercation.
“We are excited to launch this new direct route,” Rolando Damas, the airline’s sales director for North America, Central America, Europe, and the Caribbean, said in a statement. “Guatemala, located at the heart of the Mayan civilization, is a country full of history, with a rich biodiversity that makes it a top destination in the region.”
A couple was detained at Miami International Airport on Sunday after trying to force their way onto their flight to Mexico. After being late to their flight, the couple attacked a staff member, officials from the Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office said. The couple has been named as Rafael Seirafe-Novaes and Beatriz Rapoport De Campos Maia.
