Thousands of Tommy Robinson supporters converged on central London on Saturday as hundreds of police were deployed to keep them separate from anti-racism demonstrators.

A protest organised under the name "Stop the Isolation" or "Unite the Kingdom", in support of Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, formed in Sandell Street and Cornwall Road near Waterloo Station from noon on Saturday (February 1). Organisers estimated some 20,000 to have joined.
