The investigation into the mysterious deaths of beloved actor Gene Hackman and his wife Betsy Arakawa at their Santa Fe, New Mexico, home entered its third day Friday with more looming questions than answers.

The bodies of actor Gene Hackman, his wife and their dog were discovered in Santa Fe, N.M., on Wednesday afternoon during a welfare check, officials said.

Oscar-winning actor Gene Hackman, 95, and his wife, classical pianist Betsy Arakawa, 63, were found dead Wednesday in their Santa Fe, New Mexico, home, authorities confirmed to HuffPost. One of the couple’s dogs also died.
