President Donald Trump is scheduled to attend a final event in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday morning — a meeting with the leaders of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates — before departing to Qatar for the second leg of his trip.

Although Trump recently attended the funeral of Pope Francis in Rome, Saudi Arabia was originally intended to be his initial overseas destination, just like in his first term. It served as a gilded debut for a foreign policy focused on securing cash infusions for American businesses.

The first set of 49 white South Africans to be granted refugee status by President Donald Trump's administration are on their way to the US. On Sunday they boarded a flight from Johannesburg which is due to land in Washington DC later on Monday.
