Ryan Hartman of the Minnesota Wild has been suspended 10 games for slamming an opponent's head to the ice with his right arm on a faceoff.

Minnesota Wild forward Ryan Hartman was suspended 10 games for roughing Ottawa Senators forward Tim Stützle, the NHL Department of Player Safety announced Monday night, following a sequence that the league ultimately determined was "not a hockey play.

Ryan Hartman's 10-game suspension comes as the Minnesota Wild are without their top player and are tight in cap space. It could alter their playoff picture, says Adam Proteau.
