The New York Giants delivered massive news for three injured players returning to practice. Offensive tackle Andrew Thomas, wide receiver Malik Nabers, and running back Cam Skattebo will return to practice after missing time.
Backup quarterback Jameis Winston was given No. 19 after he was signed as an unrestricted free agent during the off-season, making the Giants his fourth team as he enters his 11th year in the NFL. Last season, he appeared in 12 games (seven starts) with Cleveland, where he completed 61% of his passes for 2,121 yards with 13 TDs and 12 INTs.
Jones signed on to compete with Anthony Richardson, and on Tuesday, he was named the Colts starter for the team's opener. Colts head coach Shane Steichen quickly confirmed Jones as the starter for the season and indicated it was not viewed as a short-term solution.

On offense, the Jets are better at running back, tight end and on the offensive line, while the Giants have the edge at wide receiver — Malik Nabers and Garrett Wilson are probably a wash, but the rest of the Jets’ wide receiver room might be the biggest concern on the roster.
