The 2025 NFL Draft will forever be remembered as the year Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders went from projected top pick to fifth-round pick.

In a bombshell that’s rocked both NFL and college football circles, Boomer Esiason dropped a harsh reality check for Colorado Buffaloes fans — and especially for Shedeur Sanders. The former NFL MVP and longtime analyst claimed that multiple NFL owners had told their front offices to completely remove Sanders from draft consideration.

While waiting to finally hear his name called, Sanders was prank called by someone pretending to be Saints GM Mickey Loomis. Turns out the prankster was the son of Falcons' defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich, who had to apologize after the fact. Yikes.
