Shane Tamura, the shooter behind the deadly rampage in Midtown Manhattan,​ was apparently targeting NFL offices, NYC Mayor Eric Adams says.

A fifth shooting victim -- an NFL employee, according to Commissioner Roger Goodell -- was injured and taken to the hospital in critical condition, officials said. That victim was listed in stable condition on Tuesday morning, according to a source familiar with the individual's status.

Investigators believe the gunman in a deadly New York City shooting was targeting the NFL headquarters, as he entered the building where the offices are located. A note on his body claimed he had CTE from football.
