A US deportation flight carrying Indian nationals accused of entering the country illegally is due to arrive in the state of Punjab. The US military aircraft carrying the deportees left Texas late on Tuesday. it's headed for the city of Amritsar where authorities say they have put measures in place to process them.

Those deported by the United States on the first flight include 33 each from Gujarat and Haryana, and 30 from Punjab. Two people each were from Uttar Pradesh and Chandigarh, while three were from Maharashtra.
