A fter going three-plus weeks without practicing, Matthew Stafford has now been in pads and participating in practice for two consecutive days. Following his long-awaited return on Monday, Stafford is once again on the field Tuesday.

A day after a one-hour workout, the veteran's aching back is responds well enough to practice for a second consecutive day, providing hope moving forward.

Leavitt, a redshirt sophomore, showed plenty of promise in his first year as the Sun Devils' starter. The 20-year-old QB threw for 2,885 yards, 24 touchdowns and six interceptions, and he rushed for another 443 yards and five touchdowns.
