Every year, a Maryland lottery player uses a “specific sequence of numbers” to buy a ticket on his birthday. But the Baltimore County man’s number combination, which includes his birthday, had never brought him any luck, Maryland Lottery officials said in a Feb. 27 news release.

A North Carolina lottery player hit the jackpot — but might not know it yet. The player bought a Carolina Cash 5 game ticket that matched all the numbers picked in the Feb. 26 drawing, making it worth nearly $370,000, results show. The winning numbers: 4-28-32-34-37.

The winning numbers: 4-11-21-25-35. The player hit the jackpot in the Florida Panhandle. The lucky ticket was sold at the Carousel supermarket in Laguna Beach, the Florida Lottery wrote on its website and in a news release.
