A status yellow weather alert will take effect for 15 counties tomorrow, along with counties in the North. Met Éireann is warning of wet and windy conditions for the country on Sunday, with localised flooding and fallen trees possible. ➡️Very strong and gusty southerly winds & spells of heavy rain.

Localised flooding is said to be possible across the county on Sunday and Monday, with 'danger to life' warnings issued for other parts of the UK.

A YELLOW weather warning will come into force for Herefordshire this morning, with high winds expected throughout the day. Earlier this week, The Met Office issued a warning for wind for the county, which will come into force at 6am this morning (February 23) and will remain in force throughout the day until 6pm.

The UK is expected to see "severe weather" on Sunday with yellow warnings issued for wind and rain before conditions improve next week, the Met Office has said.

The Met Office has issued five yellow weather warnings for this weekend, three for rain and two for wind. From 6am to 6pm on Sunday, southerly to southwesterly winds are expected to build across the UK. The areas affected include the west coast, Cornwall, Wales, Northern England and Scotland.
