In my mind, these kind of games are the "true JRPGS", and it would declutter a list of games like Fire Emblem, Ys, Zelda, Metroidvanias, Soulslikes, Monster Hunter-likes etc that imo while great games are just too different ...

Especially when they get that sentence from a page that then goes on to list to specific PS1 games that do/don't work on the PS3. The emulation is in the software, not the hardware. When you do it like that, you're going to run into a few problems--with regard to PS1 discs on the PS3, those problems basically fall into 5 categories:

That is a pretty good list of dual shock analog PlayStation 1 games. It even has Ape Escape! Its amazing that these games employed that technology because sometimes game manufacturers take a long time to employ any new change. Plus I enjoy looking at the classics to see how advanced they were even in the past.

Colony Wars (series) - similar to Star Wars Starfighter or other mission-based space fighter games, but was very good for the time. I'll probably think of a few more after i post this, but those are the ones I remember the most. Most of them are games that you don't see much of made anymore (puzzle, trick, fighter, rhythm)

Aug 8, 2022 · Hopefully most of you have seen Dave Britten's fantastic neGcon compatibility list; I've contributed some games to that list in the past, and in the process, realised that there's a lot of undocumented games that can use that controller in one capacity or the other - in many cases, games that don't even mention the neGcon in the manual or on the case.

Feb 3, 2022 · Yeah i remember the PS move but never got one coz of the limited number of games. I agree that the PS2 had more variety, but there were also some epic games for the ps3 like The Last Of Us, GTA 5, Uncharted 2, Skyrim, MGS4, Red Dead Redemption, etc. But then again, there were just so many ps2 games and a lot of them were unfogettable.
